| Antoni Gaudí i Cornet (1852-1926) was one of the most celebrated architects around the world. His pioneering work in Barcelona was at the forefront of the Art Nouveau movement in Spain. The buildings he created are almost surreal with characteristic curving, sensuous lines that resemble a sort of warped Gothic style.
