The classic Celtic Claddagh Ring originated in a fishing village situated near Claddagh in Galway, Ireland, and became popular in the mid-1800’s. Cast in 14k gold and showing two hands holding a heart which wears a crown, the Claddagh Ring has become known as the "Irish wedding band".
